A hike up Pica de Ana Ferreira

We cheated a bit and took a taxi out to the golf course. That's the huge green area on this arid volcanic island. From there on it's up and up, first on switchback carriage roads, then on narrower paths through the dry, dusty cactus-covered volcanic rock.
